FFA and corresponding horticulture classes hold their annual Plant Sale on May4-5 from 8 am to 7 pm in the green house, located behind the High School. All flowers and vegetables are grown by the students. They go fast, so get there early!

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational series designed to provide tools you need to take care of yourself. If you take good care of yourself, you will be better prepared to take good care of your loved one. As a participant you will learn how to: reduce stress, improve self-confidence, better communicate your feelings, balance your life, increase ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources.

Iowa State University Extension is sponsoring Powerful Tools for Caregivers in Muscatine this spring. This program has been tested and evaluated through a grant from the U.S. Administration on Aging. Local support has been received from the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine and Muscatine County ISU Extension and Outreach.

Sessions are scheduled every Tuesday for six weeks and begin April 4, 2017. Classes will be held at the Muscatine County ISU Extension and Outreach Office, 1514 Isett Avenue.from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served. Participants will receive a copy of the 230 page “The Caregiver Helpbook.” There is a $10 fee ($15 per couple) for the program.
