The West Liberty Area Arts Council is a non-profit community art organization with a charitable fund account established through the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine. If interested in becoming a member, seeking volunteer opportunities or if you have questions, please contact Cara McFerren. Mission Statement: The West Liberty Area Arts Council will develop, enhance and promote an art appreciation, awareness and action for the benefit of West Liberty and the surrounding area. WLAAC present and past projects include: West Liberty Summer in the Park Music Series, Spring Arts Gala and live performance, Fall Art Benefit, live performance and silent art auction, Community Classes, Student Workshops, West Liberty Chamber of Commerce Holiday Open House participant A Quad Cities Arts Visiting Artist participant host, WLAAC goals for current and future projects: To acquire a permanent commercial location for the benefit of museum/artist gallery and preservation, artist space, community workshops and create a resource hub for our community and schools, Continue community classes taught by area or visiting artists, Maintain the permanent location for future generations, Build strong collaborations with local or outside social or civic organizations and community school in area Art Scholarships, Work with community theater projects, Collaborations: West Liberty Chamber of Commerce, City of West Liberty West Liberty Community School District, West Liberty Public Library, Eulenspiegel Puppet Company, Memberships: West Liberty Chamber of Commerce, Membership in the Muscatine Arts Council
